Teddy (Greek Malt)

  • History:   Teddy is another Australian boy from Greyhounds as Pets, New South Wales.  He arrived in the U.S. on April 29, 2024 after a 15-hour flight from Sydney, and had a comfort stop at Pawhootz Pet Resort for the night.  Teddy has been completely vetted.  His  dam is  Dee Jay’s Sniper and his sire is Hooked on Scotch.   According to  Greyhound-Data, Teddy raced only 21 races (7 siblings also raced, but none had an extensive racing career).

The handlers at Greyhounds as Pets said he is an energetic boy with a lust for life.  He likes activity and enjoys going for walks (but will need some leash work).  Apparently, Teddy is not food motivated so you will have to find another method to motivate him – possibly a toy.   He  is said to be a little aloof with people initially but once he gets to know you, he will be your best friend.   He will need time to adjust to pet life.

Teddy is a beautiful red fawn with some black spread around – did not quite make it to “brindle”.  He has a dark muzzle, eyebrows, and tail. Teddy was very friendly “right out of the gate” at Pawhootz.    He jumped into the vehicle and lay in the back all the way home (no issues with Reggie).  In Texas he is in a foster home with a female TAGS Greyhound and is doing well with her.  We will update his bio as Teddy settles into pet life.
