LURE COURSING FUN RUN & Play Date – November 14, 2015 - 10:00am

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, 2015, and make plans for a fun day with your Greyhounds at the Haggard Farm in Celina. This is an event for TAGS Greyhound owners and other Greyhound friends - there is no admission cost and lunch (barbeque and the fixins) is complementary.  Sam and Deann Haggard are the generous hosts and will provide short straight racing for the Greyhounds (200 yards) as well as a fenced play yard where the Greyhounds can run and play off leash (muzzles are mandatory). The fun will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1:30 p.m. (or as long as there are dogs wanting to run). Each dog is limited to three runs because many of the dogs are not used to such strenuous exercise. The grass may be wet so wear rubber boots or other sturdy shoes and bring a jacket.  There is always wind on the hill.

Due to the safety of the dogs, this event may be postponed do to weather conditions. If the lure coursing field and play yards are not safe, the dogs cannot run.

It doesn't matter that your dog has never lure coursed. It doesn't matter that you don't think your Greyhound has the will to run the course. What matters is that you and your Greyhounds want to have a day of fun in the country. There will be a play yard for the dogs (muzzles required) that do not want to lure course or those that are resting from the last trip around the course. Lunch will be served. More details and reminders will follow. Put the date as tentative on your calendar.

TAGS will have microchips available as well as Greyhound merchandise for your shopping pleasure and goodie bags for each guest.  Directions to the fun are at the attached link.

If you think you and your Greyhounds will attend, please let us know - it helps plan the amount of food to order.

We can’t wait to see everyone.  It will be fun.

Celina, Texas is just north of the Dallas metro area between McKinney and Denton. The Dallas North Tollway extension now runs all of the way into Celina, so getting there is easy.  Directions!
